The Malware Ministry
I write and produce music as The Malware Ministry. We have 2 albums out now.
My music features the vocal legends of an all-computer choir. I only use Text-to-Speech and vocal synthesizers to sing my music. I use a variety of different software. Some modern (such as Synthesizer V), but I have a knack for using older TTS applications and singing synthesizers like Vocalwriter, DECTalk, Microsoft Sam, and Chipspeech which is modern software that emulates retro TTS.
I love the retro synth sound. My recipe includes distorted bass and funky drum beats, with a sprinkle of reverby church organs and a dash of bitcrushing. Musically, I'm inspired by many different genres, including Baroque, Jazz, Metal, Electronic, and Vaporwave. I don't know what to call my music, other than weirdo computer music. If you have suggestions for what genre The Malware Ministry might fall under I'd be glad to hear them!
Older works
I primarily release music as The Malware Ministry but I've also worked on some other tracks, including this 3 song hold music EP.
I used to release music under another alias, Shinku. I've retired this alias but here is my first album.
